About SSC

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an organization under the Government of India to recruit staff for various posts in the various Ministries, Departments and Organisations of the Government of India. It is under the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT). SSC conducts examinations for Group B (Non-Gazetted) and Group C (Non-Technical) posts. It is one of the largest recruiting bodies in India, receiving millions of applications annually. Positions recruited through SSC range from Junior Engineer, Assistant Section Officer (ASO), Income Tax Inspector, Sub-Inspector, Multi-Tasking Staff, to Data Entry Operator.
